We build granny annexes in Kent and London. We've been doing it since 2004. Our annexes let your family members live independently, in their own space, right next to you.
How We Got Here
Grannexe started in 2004 in Biggin Hill, Kent. It was a small family building business then, and it still is now, just with more experience and a larger team.
We focused on granny annexes because the need kept growing. More people want their parents close by rather than in a care home. Adult children need affordable housing. Families need extra space. We had decades of building experience, so we put it to work on this one thing.
We're still family-run, still based in Kent, and still building the same way: solid materials, honest pricing, and no cutting corners.
What We Actually Do
We design, plan, and build self-contained annexes in gardens across Kent and London. You can see finished examples in our gallery.
We handle everything from start to finish: design, planning applications, construction, and fit-out. Our WarmWall insulation system (250mm double insulation) keeps the annexe warm in winter and cool in summer.
We know these decisions are often about caring for a parent or finding space for a family member. We take that seriously and try to make the process as straightforward as possible.
